Traditional Thanksgiving (almost)

We had a fun Thanksgiving filling ourselves with delicous food, mingling with family, and of course filling our tummies over and over again. All the cousins had lots of fun playing together.

Later in the evening, Uncle Richard borrowed a fun train from a friend. It was 12 cars hooked together and the kids had a blast. Although it was freezing! I even squeezed my big butt in one those and took a ride, but it took a crane to pull me out, seriously. No pictures, oh darn.

Everytime Aunt Trish comes to visit, she reads "The Monster at the End of This Book" to the kids. They love it. She even gets her best Grover voice going.

The one thing major thing we missed out on this year was the traditional annual rocket shoot. Every year on Thanksgiving Day all the Allen family gets together and shoots off model rockets. It always somewhat a competition to see who comes up with the biggest or most creative rocket. Lots of fun! Unfortunately it was too windy this year so we unable to do it.

What a blessing it is to have such a wonderful family and that we enjoy spending time together.
