(Note to Self)

Hey there. Just a little note to help keep things in perspective. I know life can be overwhelming and frustrating, so I thought it might help to remember....

The hungry six week old that eats constantly and wakes you up 2 to 3 times a night and has taken up most of your "Me" time is also the one that melts your heart when she looks at you with those trusting pretty blue eyes. The same one that cries, but only because she wants to be held to feel the comfort of her mommy which shows how much she loves you.

The messy little two year old who you pick up after (the same mess over and over) and demands your attention all day long is also the one that gives you the sweetest kisses and best hugs in the world. The same one that has started telling you "no" and throwing drama queen fits that takes up a large portion of your patience is also the one that constantly makes you smile by the silly things she does and says and is constantly saying "I love you so much mom".
She has also started giving me dirty looks. I have to admit it's pretty cute. It just makes me laugh.

And the moody thirty-two year old that brings home his work with him once in awhile and takes it out on you at times is also the one that would do anything in the world for you. He is the one that loves his family unconditionally and works his butt off to give you a good life and is the most patient person you know. And although he leaves you alone with the kids over the weekend to go fishing, (yes, he's fishing this weekend) he will make it up to you by taking the kids all night long when he gets home, to give you break and a good nights sleep. The one that plans trips to Costa Rica to go fishing for a week with his buddies and leaves you home all alone, on Valentines Day, is the one that makes it up to you by having a one caret diamond delivered to you on that day. Yep, the very same one.
Just wanted to help you remember that although you may think life is challenging at times, it is often more rewarding than you realize.
(I tried to take a picture of how fried he got on his fishing trip, but the picture doesn't really show it. Oh yes, he is going to be blistered and peeling like crazy for Ragan's blessing.)

That dirty look is hilarious! Reminds me of the "cute" dirty looks Savannah used to give me. When the look starts coming with a comment.... Yeah~ not so cute! Those girls of yours are too cute!
