The last Hoo-rah

The day before school started the Scarborough's invited us and the Williams for a hot dog roast at Apache Lake as a last Hoo-rah before school started. Not that we really qualify for having kids in school yet....but we had lots of fun. I beached myself in the shade, the kids played in the water all day, and we all loaded up on junk food. It was a good day! The only bummer about the trip was all the bees! Holy cow there were alot of bees. Five people got stung including Nate, and my poor baby Ragan got it the worst. So sad, but she got over it fairly quickly. We also got a visit from a very unfriendly snake that was snapping at everyone and anything in sight. It was a feisty little thing. Elly's still talking about the snake.

It was also Mark's birthday so we were celebrating that too.

Ragan was content to play in the sand and the water all day. She was a homely looking thing. She went straight from the crib to the carseat and that's how she stayed all day.

My kids aren't fans of the jet ski's. What wrong with them? At least we got Elly to go with daddy for a little bit. She wasn't all that impressed.

Elly and Maddie. They played so great together all day. They always play great together.

This is when Ragan got stung. She went from laughing to crying all in one breath. It really was sad.
And this is the stupid beastly looking bug that stung her. Everyone else got stung by regular bees.
This is her looking at the bee that we're showing her. Poor baby.

Elly seriously never got out fo the water all day. She was so pround of herself that she was brave enough to float with her life jacket out in the deep water.

Mark fishing with Elly's fishing pole. Elly had something to say about that. She chased him down till she got it back.

The birthday boy. How old are you Mark?

The whole gang. Except me of course, behind the camera. There is no way you guys will see any pictures of me 8 months pregnant at the lake. Not a pretty sight, I promise.

The kids showing off their fishies. It's the minnows Nate brought to fish with. They were pretty proud.
Elly is going to hate me someday for this picture but I couldn't resist. We were all pooped by the end of the day.
